Extended Runways and Low-Angle Approach for Bigger Vehicles

The HDS-14 gives heavier vehicles the runway length and support they need. Extended runways help accommodate larger wheelbases, while mid to long-style approach ramps make drive-on loading easier for vehicles with lower ground clearance. Built-in rear-wheel chocks add practical support during positioning.

Runways include rail kits for optional accessories, making the HDS-14 more than a basic drive-on lift. Optional RJ7W rolling bridge jacks can be added for wheel and brake service, while optional drip trays and drive-thru ramps allow shops to tailor the lift to storage, service, and daily workflow needs.

Aircraft Cables, Oversized Sheaves, and Enclosed Components

The HDS-14 uses four 1/2-inch stainless-steel aircraft-quality lifting cables, each with a breaking strength of more than 14,000 lbs. These cables are designed specifically for lifting applications, balancing abrasion resistance and fatigue protection for long-term use in demanding environments.

Oversized 10.5-inch dual-hub cable sheaves and rugged 1.75-inch roller axles help reduce cable fatigue and component wear. Lifting cables, airlines, safety latches, and sheaves are fully enclosed within the lift structure, helping protect critical systems while keeping the bay cleaner and safer.

Safety Locks, Hydraulic Control, and Dependable Daily Operation

Spring-loaded safety locks automatically engage continuously as the HDS-14 rises, while adjustable safety ladders allow precise runway leveling, even on slightly sloped floors. A secondary slack-cable lock system provides backup protection in the unlikely event of cable failure.

A push-button pneumatic lock release makes lowering operations fast and straightforward, while an integrated hydraulic flow restrictor helps control descent in the unlikely event of hose rupture. The maintenance-free electric-hydraulic power system, large base plates, customizable power unit location, and ETL approval all support a four-post lift designed for real shop dependability.
